At the start of the academic year, the board of SSAB loses one of its members to a new position at Antwerp University. Emiliano, we wish you well! And of course, we will be seeing you at our workshop on European Islam in December!
So also do we welcome a new vice-president! Koert Debeuf steps up as a new member of the board, which will doubtlessly help the quality and diversity of our research endeavours! A short word from Koert:
"I am really honoured to have been appointed vice-president of the Secular Studies Association Belgium. While I will be supporting all kind of secular studies, I will focus my research on the birth of secularism in mediaval Europe and the role that Arabic philosophy played in this process. I am much looking forward to cooperating with the excellent team of SSAB researchers in the years to come."
Looking forward to the future!
